The BART Watch App provides a convenient and discreet method for the public to report suspicious activity directly to BART Police. With just a few taps, users can send text messages, pictures, and location information regarding suspicious individuals or activities. The app's user-friendly home screen offers two straightforward options for contacting BART Police:

1. The "Report a Problem" button enables users to send text messages or photos directly to BART Police. To ensure privacy, the app automatically disables the camera flash when taking photos. When reporting an issue, users can specify the location and category to assist BART Police. For those who prefer anonymity, it's also possible to send reports without revealing personal information.
2. The "Call BART Police" button connects customers directly to BART Police via phone.

The application has been designed specifically for BART. In areas without cellular connectivity, reports will be stored and sent once connectivity is reestablished. Additionally, the system prioritizes sending text messages before pictures so that BART Police can receive app reports as quickly as possible.

Additional Features

• BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Alerts: The BART Watch App may display alerts from BART Police regarding specific persons of interest. For instance, it could provide information about missing individuals or children, including their last known location. If you encounter a person from a BOLO alert, it is imperative to immediately call 911 and send a discreet app report to BART Police.
